Oconto Storage

I experienced multiple delays to have Golans come pick up my original items. They patiently waited and did a marvelous job packing my items. The second time when they had to come empty my living room for carpet installation again went extremely well. The staff has been super answering my billing questions. I will highly recommend Golans to anyone needing storage or moving help!

I have used Golans' 7 times for my moves and have never been disappointed. They are efficient, courteous, professional and take great care in packing my most precious possessions. I would not hesitate to refer and use their services again. I have referred them to clients and have heard nothing but rave reviews. I plan on moving again and have already contacted Richard for an estimate..and they have consistently come in under budget.

Long-distance move from California to Michigan

A Total Disaster!

Golan's Moving was a disaster! My wife and I needed to move from CA to MI and , we were considering who to go with. A rep from Golan's came down to give us an estimate, and he seemed friendly and accommodating and boasted about how they were honored from some stupid Angis award that made them the top movers in the nation (which doesn't mean squat, because they rig all the reviews online too)..well we decided to go with them. On moving day, 4 guys came to pack up our stuff and did a good job.

It wasn't until they arrived to MI that things started to go south very quickly. They changed the price of the whole move several times and ended up paying an extra $1000!!
There were only two people unloading our stuff, and old man and a young guy. They were unloading boxes and didn't pay attention to which side was up and all the capped liquid solutions seeped onto the new kitchen floor and ruined our baby stuff.

But the biggest upset was when they unloaded my wife's new piano from the truck. Just two guys hoisting it of the the truck and dropping it down. They didn't use a ramp or a dolly, and the hoisted over two concrete steps to the house, which ended up breaking off the two petals below and there was split in the wood and paint furnishing. This was really upsetting to say the least, my wife came from Korea when we got married and shipped her piano from Korea without a scratch! FROM KOREA!! GOLAN'S CAN'T EVEN GET IT RIGHT FROM STATE TO STATE! THAT SAYS ALOT RIGHT ABOUT THEIR SERVICE!!

To top it off, my wife was pregnant and we didn't even get our box spring for our master bedroom mattress!! It didn't even get loaded up with our stuff, so we had to wait OVER TWO MONTHS, in the meanwhile we were sleeping on the sofa!

To avoid problems directly, Golan's sinister tactic is to direct complaint to a third party claims department which was another whole different hassle we had to go through. I think these guys are trained to be rude and mean to you so that you can't get any compensation for the damages. Honestly, they don't care about your stuff, they just care about getting your money and what happens after that, you gotta practically fight for compensation.

Looking back at this whole ordeal, we would've much rather moved on our own. No body in Golan's cares about your stuff. They are not running a business, they are running a racket, which at the end you pay for BIG TIME! My wife and that I suggest no one should even consider them. Find someone else. FIND SOMEONE ELSE!

Local Move

Moved my father from a condo to a senior living community in the same town. Martin and his crew were fantastic. They arrived on time and were friendly and efficient. We had done all the packing of clothing and small items while Martin and his team focused on the furniture items. They wrapped each furniture piece and carefully took it to their truck. Upon arrival at the destination, they worked with staff at the senior community to move all items to my Dad's new place. The unwrapped and placed all furniture where we asked them to place it. It was stressful moving our 92 year old Dad but Golan's movers helped to make it easier.

We moved from a 2 bedroom high-rise apartment to another high rise apartment. We are in our 70's and used Golan to pack for us as well as move us. We did a virtual tour of our apartment so I felt confident that they had a good idea of what we would need for packing. Another company had me guessing how many boxes etc I would need. The workers showed up on time, worked all day to get us packed and came back the next day for the move. They marked all boxes and placed boxes in the appropriate room at the new apartment on move day. Nothing was broken, all pieces were together. It was just a great experience. I highly recommend Golan.

I hired Golan's Moving & Storage to move my elderly parents into their retirement home, and the crew was so patient, kind, and respectful. They packed everything meticulously, taking extra care with my parents’ favorite recliners, family photo albums, and medical equipment. They took time to chat with my dad about his old record collection while packing it up. Moving is emotional, and Golan's Moving & Storage handled it with so much heart. Absolutely THE BEST!!!

These movers did so much more than just pack and move my stuff! They helped me rearrange the furniture in my new place to make the most of the space. They offered to take down and hang up a heavy mirror, even though it wasn't originally part of the price. The leader of the crew was fantastic, and he kept checking in on me to make sure I was happy and didn't need anything.

Whole process so easy!

The customer service was attentive. They called me after the move to ensure everything was satisfactory. They provided a checklist for me to inspect the condition of my belongings. When I pointed out a small scratch on a table, they offered to send a furniture specialist to fix it at no extra cost. They also followed up with an email containing tips for settling into the new home.

Moving to my new place.

From the beginning to the end Golan movers were very professional. Movers were on time. Gave me an estimated time frame of finishing my move. I was pleased to notice that movers were focused on handling my furniture and my other belongings with care. It was not an easy move, some pieces of my furniture were super heavy and it looked like they would not make it to the new place BUT Golan movers attempted several different ways of getting my oversized couch into my new living room and succeeded! If I ever need to move again, I will definitely use Golan's moving services.

Excellent! From beginning to end it could not have been a better experience. On time, professional, courteous, top notch. Went above and beyond to accommodate. Not a single item broken or damaged. I would highly recommend them and already have. On my list for my next move. Golans was able to do it all when other companies could only do some of what needed to be done not everything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Terrible experience

I had a terrible experience with Golan's. It damaged all my furniture (ALL PIECES), broke my TV and lost one of my bags. It worked as a Broker and sent a disqualified team to my house who used my credit card information for a scam. At the delivery, it did not finish to resemble my furniture. Additionally, it delivered my furniture with a huge delay!!!

Complicated Move

I had lots of moving parts and was not exactly sure what I was moving and where or when. Richard was patient and helpful with the estimate and move, and also diligent in staying in touch with me as questions were being answered and problems solved, until the time of moving. I had two moves on two consecutive days and both times the crew was professional, competent and efficient. I did the packing except for the artwork and the lamps, and everything was in excellent shape upon unpacking. I highly recommend Golan's Moving and Storage.

We felt the guys came in, worked very hard and fast, and took good care of our furniture. There was no damage, and they checked items showing some marks before they loaded them to clarify it. We packed everything ahead, except furniture, and there were a few things broken in boxes but that is on us. Nothing seemed lost, the method was to fill the truck, and then be sure that all came off the truck. Seemed to work. The guys were very careful to try to get things in proper rooms and to set up furniture that had been dismantled. they were even willing to rearrange furniture that did not fit the new location well. the contract was pretty clear, but I signed so many sheets of paper, it felt like getting a mortgage. Ours was a split move, the first part a couple weeks ahead, and that went very well also.

Amazing moving company!

From the quote phase, till the last mover left, the whole experience was simply excellent!

Only a couple of moving companies really do an in-person inventory taking, which is crucial for proper quoting! Richard from Golan came and made sure to note every item. The quote came as one of the highest, but I decided to go with it...

The day before the move, we received a call - and the crew came on time 8AM! They packed each piece of furniture as if it was an irreplaceable antique... My wife and I were so impressed with the Foreman and the crew, they were so respectful to our belonging, asked to make sure they know what and how to move each item.

The unloading was as smooth as the loading, and all items were exactly where we asked to place them.

All in all - a perfect experience in one of the most stressful possible event...

If you look for movers, I highly recommend you give Golan's Moving a call
